WHAT WE DELIVERED
Aboard the newly launched Oceania Allura, a different kind of gallery experience takes shape. The Art Experience is a self-guided digital journey through nearly 30 artworks from 14 artists across 7 countries – designed to evoke emotion, spark curiosity, and bring guests closer to the artists behind the work.
Commissioned by Oceania Cruises, the project was developed entirely by CONDUCTR, combining creative direction, UX, and full technical build into one seamless cultural moment at sea.
How do you create an interactive experience that brings fine art to life – without docents and without stable internet? Oceania needed a partner who could bring emotion and access to a high-value art collection in a way that felt fluid, non-intrusive, and accessible to guests of all kinds – while also functioning entirely offline. This experience had to operate at scale, blend subtly into the cruise environment, and reflect Oceania’s signature approach to elegance, enrichment, and attention to detail.
We developed a full-scale digital art experience built from scratch to thrive in a cruise environment.
• Creative Production
We filmed and produced 12 original short films with artists from around the world, capturing the energy behind their work and offering a personal lens into each piece.
• UX & Guest Journey Design
We designed a barrier-free digital interface that works seamlessly across mobile devices and guides guests through the experience, deck by deck. The UX is intuitive, self-paced, and deeply considered to reflect the onboard flow and design of the ship interiors.
• Technical Build
The entire experience was designed and built in-house – a bespoke digital platform that runs entirely onboard, with zero reliance on Wi-Fi or external connectivity.
• Cultural Strategy
We worked closely with Oceania’s curation team to develop a narrative that prioritised emotional connection and cultural access, tailoring each touchpoint to encourage curiosity.
The result is an experience that blends art, emotion, and environment – turning Oceania Allura’s Grand Lounge and Martinis bar into quiet spaces of exploration and meaning.
Guests can wander at their own pace or follow a suggested route, watching emotionally rich artist films via discreet QR codes throughout the space.
It’s elegant, intimate, and entirely self-led – proving that cultural innovation can thrive in unexpected places when executed with care and intent.
This remains one of CONDUCTR’s most meaningful projects to date – a perfect balance of creative production, cultural nuance, and seamless tech.
Everything is designed, developed, and delivered in-house – from software and media to physical build and control systems. CONDUCTR designs immersive environments where tech disappears, and the experience takes centre stage.
